Frequently Asked Questions
Can you write new business insurance?
Yes, we have markets who are willing to write insurance for business owners with no prior insurance. In some
instances, insurance costs are not effected if you have previous management and operating experience in the
same field.
Do you pay my claim from your office?
No, but depending on the insurance carrier, they may have a local claims office. If not, they will normally assign
your claim to a local adjusting firm to expedite inspection and settlement.
How long does it take to get a quote?
For personal insurance coverage, we can normally quote the same day. In some instances, commercial
insurance can be quoted the same day, but more commonly a marketing analysis will be performed, and
depending on the type of your business and size of your operation, it may take from one to four weeks for a
formal presentation.
Will the insurance company take payments of my premium?
Most insurance companies offer payment plans which are subject to installment fees ranging from $3-$10 per
installment. Some insurance companies allow installment payments with no fees. Other insurance carriers do
not offer payment plans, but we can arrange outside financing for you.
What deductible amount do you think I should have?
It is important that you realize that the higher the deductible the lower the insurance premium. We normally
suggest that you consider the highest deductible you could financially accept if a claim were to occur.
Alternative quotations will be provided so that you can compare the premium savings for each deductible.
Can you write my insurance since I have had claims?
Yes, as insurance brokers, we work with numerous insurance companies and will be able to find a carrier willing
to insure you.
What can I do to lower my automobile insurance premium?
Make sure youthful operators have good student discounts (3.0 average), install anti-theft devices, consider
higher physical damage deductibles and determine if the value of your car justifies carrying comprehensive and
collision coverage. Before buying a new car, call us to determine the cost for different types of vehicles. A
sports car, luxury car or one that is easily damaged (fiberglass construction) will be more costly to insure.
How do I know that this insurance company will be able to pay my claim?
We endeavor to write insurance with California admitted insurance carriers and insurance companies that are
rated as "A" by A.M. Best (an insurance financial rating organization). The California Department of Insurance
organized and oversees the California Insurance Guarantee Association, that is a source of funding for a
California policyholder, when these insurance companies are unable to pay a claim.
